Winning an Argument with an Intellectual Bully

Hint: you can't do it with data!

The older I get, the more I long for the days when you could spot a bully coming a mile away. The days of the standard run of the school yard mill bully are no longer.

So while the days of the queen bees like Regina George (Mean Girls) or the psychos like Dave Harkens (Horrible Bosses) are not exactly over, today, we have to deal with a whole new breed of assholery: the Intellectual Bully.

Fresh on the scene at the start of Covid, with their God and role model Dr. Fraudci propped up on his pedestal, Intellectual Bullies have quickly risen to the top of my list of persone non grata.

Fortunately, upon recognizing the existence of such vile humans, I’ve gotten quite skilled at sniffing out their manipulative tactics.

So, today, I’d like to share 3 videos with you, so you too can take control to not fall for their BS.

I recommend you start with Recognizing an Intellectual Bully - Sen. Josh Hawley vs. UCB Law Prof. Bridges (CLICK HERE). This one is only 10 minutes, but it’ll give you an introduction to seeing an Intellectual Bully in action. Buckle up.

Second, I think it’s important to recognize that the main reason an Intellectual Bully gets away with the BS that they get away with is, they rely on you being ill-informed. They essentially deploy a variety of Appeal to Ignorance Logical fallacies to keep you confused and compliant. Learning to see what so many are still blind to seeing is like living in the Matrix or better yet, the movie They Live. We have to be courageous. We have to speak truth at all times. Get loud. I know I have.
